Personal Info:

I was born in Gallatin, Tennessee, but my parents moved to Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil when I was nine. I grew up in Brazil, and then came back to the States to go to college and grad school. Somewhere along the way I met Tobin Paris, and we got married on July 31, 1993. We moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina in August '94 and lived there until May '98, when we moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to start new jobs at Oklahoma Christian University. We have two children and a very large white dog (Great Pyrenees).
