From memory, fill the blanks in the sentence below for Parts 1 and 2 and beside each of the drawings, draw one just like it. If you need to, you can look back at Lesson 2. Good! We’re now ready to start on Part 3. In our story we are still in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve and God are still close friends.
3. PEOPLE CHOOSE TO SIN. (Part 3)

Disobeying God is called sinning. An evil spirit, called the Devil spoke through a ________. (Genesis 3:1) He lied to Eve. He told her she would not die if she disobeyed God and ate the fruit from the ________ of knowledge. (Genesis 3:4,5) |

4. SIN SEPARATES PEOPLE FROM GOD. | |

Adam and Eve sinned when they disobeyed God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Their sin became a terrible wall between them and God. Their sin ______________ them from God. This made God sad because He loved them. Yet, He had to punish their sins.

People choose to sin and sin brings a terrible wall between them and God. Goodbye close friendship with God! This was true of Adam and Eve. It is also true today of all of us who do wrong after we can understand what is right and wrong. Are you that old? Has sin made a wall between you and God? |
| Here is how to tell if you are separated from God. Have you have chosen to tell a lie, be unkind, disobey your parents, or take what is not yours, then you have sinned. |  |
